Jenny McCarthy announced Carrie Underwood singing Heartbeat. Demi Lovato is next singing the title song from her new cd Confident. next up are Chloe grace meritz and Gary  grey introducing Meghan trainor. Next is Chelsea balderini a Florida Georgia line with the best country award presented to Luke Bryan. next up is Arianna Grande. Next is Tyrese with Wilmer Valderrama  for best soundtrack going to pitch perfect 2. The next award goes to Nicki Minaj for best rap album. Next is Disney's Zendaya introducing One Direction with the song perfect. Next is Alicia Silverstone and Jeremy Sisto introducing Gwen Stefani's Used to love you. Next is Hayley Steinfeld and Shawn Mends introducing Walk The Moon singing Shut-up and dance. Next up are Paula Abdul and Donnie Wahlberg for female artist of the year and it's Arianna Grande. And next up Fall Out Boy introduces Coldplay Next is the walking dead's Norman Readis introducing the female country artist of the year going to Carrie Underwood Next up is the man only known as The Weekend. Next up is Puff Daddy introdoucing collaboration of the year the award goes to Skrillex and the bieb next up is Luke Bryan and Cameron Fairchild introduced by Little Big Town. Next up is Taylor Latner  introducing Macklamoore and Ryan Lewis singing overprescribed about the American dream dying. Next is 5th Harmony introducing the rock band of the year going to Fall Out Boy. Anna Kendrick introduces Demi Lovato and Alanis Morrisette on the anniversary of Alanis Morsette's smash hit " You oughtta know".  Next is Elle Goulding presenting best rap hit, you guessed it, Nicki wins!. Next is Jared Leto introducing Celine Dion singing a song in tribute to Paris made famous by Édith Piaf  .   An accapella group called Pannatonix does their rendition of star wars, yes it's unusual.  Next is Ms. America and Kevin O'Malley and The Weekend took the American Music Award. Jeremy Renner presents artist of the year and it's One Direction. Siera introduces the Bieb for a final song.
